The Cannon Room is on the top floor of the historic Art Deco-style, 12-story Capital Club building. The 4000 square feet space also has Art Deco features and is bathed in stunning natural light during daytime hours. At night, the amazing views of Downtown Raleigh glitter with all the excitement of city life.
The space is available on weekends, holds a maximum of 150 guests, and includes some furniture in the rental. They have a preferred vendor list but are open to bar and catering options. Bride and groom suites are included. Reviewers rave about the staff, the views, and the proximity to other fun downtown spots.
The Stockroom is in another historic icon in downtown Raleigh – the Carolina Trust building, built in 1902. This Urban Wedding & Reception Venue features exposed brick walls and hardwood floors. The Stockroom can accommodate between 185-275 guests based on the seating arrangements. Tables and chairs are provided.
Directly above the Stockroom, in the 5th floor, is a space called the Glass Box. Though it can be used for small ceremonies, it may also be used as a bridal suite. With floor to ceiling windows, the Glass Box is a perfect space for bridal pictures.
This venue is just minutes from downtown but boasts a 5550 square ft event space, with modern and industrial design elements. A sprawling covered outdoor promenade is also available for additional event space. Guests enjoy socializing under the industrial-style string lights.
Reviewers give high marks to this venue for the staff, vintage flair, ample parking, and upstairs VIP suite/bridal suite. The décor is a striking mixture of exposed pipes, natural wood, modern light fixtures, and neutral colors. Up to 300 guests are accommodated.
Nestled in the trendy Five Points area, The Fairview is conveniently located to foodie-approved restaurants and fun activities. The venue’s interior looks like the peak of urban chic in photos. Probably because it’s right next door to Themeworks Creative – a design showroom with thousands of unique décor items to rent. Brides who put a premium on having every detail customized to their individual style will appreciate the design services offered.
The venue can be divided into 2 unique spaces and includes a covered terrace with a view of the city skyline. While the available table and chairs can accommodate up to 200 guests, the total event space can hold a whopping 548 people. The bridal suite is just as chic as the rest of the interior, adorned in lovely modern white and gold.
Another historical gem in downtown Raleigh, this building dates back to the early 1900s and retains its original brick walls. Aptly named due to its location in the old Seaboard Railroad Station, the surrounding area has a charming village quality. Guests may enjoy visiting some of the unique downtown attractions that are within walking distance.
The 4400 square ft interior offers lovely hardwood floors and an adjoined enchanting outdoor deck. Two valet attendants are offered for up to 6 hours of event time. Tables, chairs, and flatware are provided.
It’s easy to see why a bride would choose an Urban Wedding & Reception venue. One clear benefit is their proximity to all that downtown has to offer, making them excellent choices for destination weddings. Being downtown means many hotels are within walking distance or a quick ride share away – lots of guests will appreciate that! With any of these venues, you will be sure to have the stylish, memorable wedding of your dreams!
