Real NC Weddings: Casey & Derek – Vintage Vows
It’s not often that you find two people who simply look “in love”, but Casey and Derek are undoubtedly the exception. Everything about their wedding was intentional and held special meaning for the happy couple. They wanted their dream day to relate to how they met, dated and the way they wanted to enter into such a sacred covenant.
Casey’s minimalist style was reflected throughout the ceremony and reception, in the décor and special touches that she and her family helped create with the help of A Lovely Affair Weddings and Events. Her dress was a breathtaking V-neck gown with an embellished boddess accented with an antiqued brooch. Casey’s bridesmaids donned two complementary shades of burgundy and mauve that were simply striking! The groom was decked out in a sharp navy suit with black vest and ivory tie – the groomsmen sported the same, but with a black tie. Casey’s bouquet was a fragrant mix of soft cream roses and small wildflowers paired with array of sprigs of rich greenery tied with burlap – the bridesmaids, groom and groomsmen followed suit with matching arrangements and boutineers.
It was the meaning and significance behind every detail that made this ceremony held at The Bradford so special. From the heart warming prayers to the table names at the reception, it all represented something meaningful.
From the ceremony, guests were ushered into a reception that continued the vintage theme thanks to Ron Hobgood’s florals and CE Rentals. Table set simply with khaki lace runners, burlap bows and mason jars glowing with tea lights and others bursting with fresh yet simple arrangements of everything from roses to baby’s breath. The cake designed by Once in a Blue Moon Bakery was not only scrumptious but carried on the theme of the florals with an ivory frosting and live greenery. After an amazing meal provided by Rocky Top Catering, guests danced the night away outdoors, under twinkling lights, to the sounds of Showtime Productions and looked on lovingly as the newlyweds danced with their own parents and then each other for the first time as husband and wife.
As a perfect day came to a close, Casey and Derek were greeted by a sparkler send-off that light up the evening as guests formed a runway into Happily Ever After.
