Raleigh Food & Wine Festival June 25 through 28th!
Making selections for your wedding menu can be daunting, even with the help of fantastic catering professionals, so why not let yourself be inspired by some a local culinary tour of the Triangle? We are so thrilled about the announcement of Raleigh Food & Wine Festival, scheduled for later this month! This inaugural event – organized and curated Babylon/Melrose Knitting Mill Creative Director and Executive Chef Samad Hachby and Raleighwood Media Group + Raleighwood Event Group founder and principal Lisa Jeffries – will showcase the evolving culinary traditions of Raleigh.
Thursday June 25th through Saturday, events will take place at different participating restaurants, wine shops, patisseries and bakeries – featuring wine dinners and guest chefs. Several of our favorite industry professionals are participating in the event, which gives brides an amazing opportunity to see what their chefs are capable of without scheduling a private tasting! Favorites, along with host Babylon and Melrose Knitting Mill, include 18 Seaboard, Second Empire and The Level Up Kitchen + Barcadium (part of the Architect family).
The culminating food and beverage tasting event at Melrose Knitting Mill and Babylon (1 to 5 p.m., purchase tickets online in advance). This is yet another fantastic chance for both vendors and brides to see the newly opened downtown Raleigh wedding venue, Melrose Knitting Mill, a stunningly industrial and dynamic space that will grace the pages of our 2016 issue.
Find participating restaurants, calendar of events and ticket info here! Reservations for Thursday to Saturday events are taken directly by the participating venue.
For the Sunday Tasting Event, General Admission Tickets are $29 for 1, $24.50 per ticket for 2 or more, and VIP (which includes early access and a Bloody Mary, along with other surprises) are $45 via their Eventbrite page. $1 of every GA ticket and $2 of every VIP ticket sold will benefit Band Together, which has raised upward of $3.5 million for the Triangle community since its 2001 startup.
